The Patrol marches on!

Well, it's been a full 6 weeks since I touched this thing. Ye gods, that is a long time. But since my It co-workers are out geeking it up at the Cingular store, it's time to do a little updatin'. So what have we been up to here?

Well, First off, the family was completely shut out of ND football tickets in the lottery. That's a big wow. Because it's never happened before. This thoroughly jeopardized my early September run out to the Bend. If anyone has PSU tix for under $500, talk to me.

Next, we recently attended a wedding in New Hampshire. Yes, apparently there are red states in New England. Is it any wonder that the only NASCAR track in New England is located in the only Red state in New England? I think not. The wedding was all kinds of rowdy fun though, as the groom's side managed to almost single handedly drink the entire banquet bar out of all the liquor there. Good times.

Preceding the wedding was a nice little trip down to Dirty Jerz for the bachelor party. It almost hurts to mention that my only two days of vacation used this calendar year came on the Friday of these two events. Not to mention I got hammered on the way down that Friday morning and spent a good 3 hours pondering the rise of human civilization in North America as evinced by the infrastructure developments of the Greater NYC metro area. I also realized I think way too much when I'm high.

Not much else to report at this point. The Patrol has managed to finally land a kitty at the Puma level, which is the first since the founding of this blog, and while not the quickest cat in the pride, she certainly did the trick. Seeing how it was a Sunday afternoon and I had nothing better to do.

We're taking this show on the road, Europe-style, in exactly 6 days, so please believe that I will be getting into all sorts of shenanigans (ooooooooh) in foreign-language places. Of note is that the little brother will be legal on this trip, so much drankin' will ensue. I'll be sending in pics each day, so stay tuned.
