74 days and counting...
In 74 days, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will kick off their season against hte Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Put simply, that's 2 months and 11 days away. I can barely stand the wait, despite predictions of an 8-4 or 7-5 season. As the master of lowering expectation so as to be able to exceed them more spectacularly, I think we will surprise a lot of people this year.
Too bad i'm going to be in classes all day on saturdays this fall.

On a more somber note, Terry Hoeppner lost his battle with brain cancer. He's still the toughest S.O.B. in college football, and could make Chuck Norris cry with just a glance. R.I.P., Coach.
